Arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport you might be lucky and catch a glimpse of Africa’s highest peak before it slips behind the clouds. Your transfer will be waiting to take you into Arusha.Check into Arusha Coffee Lodge, a luxury boutique hotel set in Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation on the outskirts of Arusha.

The aptly named Arusha Coffee Lodge lies hidden amongst the sprawling grounds of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation, set below the rugged peaks of Mt Meru. Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, a small park by Tanzanian standards it boasts an amazing diversity of terrain, plant and animal species. Well known for its tree climbing lions the park was actually created to protect the elephant herds of the area. Spend 2 nights in the luxury of one of the 10 intimate suites. The only lodge actually in the National Park you are guaranteed an exclusive experience. Each tree-house suite has a private veranda, large windows that open up to the lush forest, spacious bedrooms and sitting rooms, and baths with panoramic views.

Here is your chance to see Africa’s Big 5 in one game drive. With no fences or borders, plenty of food for predators. you will spend two nights at the "Manor at Ngorongoro" - Located on a private estate adjacent to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Reminiscent of colonial times and Cape Dutch architecture this elegant upcountry farm home is your base to explore the area. There are various activities available at the Manor. Game drives into the Crater take place during the park opening hours.

The camp is set up to take full advantage of the vast plains and the herds of animals that graze. Activities at Dunia Camp are centered on the wildlife. Set near the striking Moru Kopjes and overlooking the wide open Serengeti plains, the annual Migration passes through the area, attracting the attention of big cats such as lion, leopard and cheetah. The sister to Dunia, Sayari Camp is located in the northern Serengeti. There are 15 luxury tents that blend in perfectly with the landscape. The area up here is vast and far off the tourist track. It is home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephants and large herds of antelope. The close proximity of the Mara River means the setting is perfect for that annual migration. The Mara River, filled with crocodiles and hippos makes for thrilling viewing in the right season! Even without the migration, there is still plenty of resident game to provide those magical wildlife moments. Enjoy morning and evening drives, bush walking if you feeling a bit more energetic, bush breakfast and the spa facility.

Transfer by light aircraft to Arusha. From Arusha Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Arrive in Zanzibar and your transfer will be waiting to take you to Matemwe Retreat in the North East of the Island, about one hour from Stonetown. The region is famous for its white sandy stretches of beach and the turquoise Indian Ocean. The Mnemba Atoll is just off the mainland with amazing coral reefs, good for diving and snorkeling! Enjoy 3 nights on the Spice Island soaking up the privacy of the Retreat or exploring the island. Matemwe Retreat consists of 3 self-contained private Villas. All have in-house dining and a private butler service, as well as uninterrupted views of the Ocean. The Villa’s are situated above a small private beach, shared by all 3 Villas, and the private roof terraces host private plunge pools with both shade and sun decks.

Matemwe Lodge is a really fantastic small lodge with beautiful breezy rooms and wonderful views out to Mnemba Island. We love Matemwe for offering a great escape from the hustle and bustle that surrounds much of Zanzibar. located on the north east of Zanzibar about an hour’s drive from Stone Town, which is a 20 minute flight from Dar es Salaam. The location of the lodge allows for easy access to the Mnemba Atoll.
Consisting of 12 thatched and whitewashed bungalows, Matemwe Bungalows extends along a grassy stretch over a quiet, pale sandy beach, linked by flower-covered walkways to an open restaurant. The restaurant is highly recommended as among the best on the island, specialising in an original and diverse menu. It also has views over the Indian Ocean and a southerly second beach where children play and fishermen draw in and out with the tides. The rooms retain a rustic atmosphere but at the same time harbour a sense of quality and high standards; enhanced by their hand-crafted elegance, with sprung mattress beds built onto a raised plinth to ensure lazy ocean views. All the rooms are self-contained and include wonderfully coloured Persian baths in huge bathrooms. Each has their own hammock on the veranda.
