The elegant Siwandu Safari Camp is tucked into a shady grove of palm trees on the banks of Lake Nzerakera, just off the Rufiji River in the Selous Game Reserve. Scattered along the lake’s shore, the spacious canvas tents boasts cool thatch roofs as well as wide private verandas. Comfortable interiors include king sized beds, overhead fans and open-air showers.

The Oyster Bay is a charming hotel, located on the dazzling seafront, in the ambassadorial and smart residential area of Dar es Salaam. Essentially a large private house and surrounded by lush gardens, this boutique hotel offers guests a real ‘home away from home’ during their obligatory stop over - either before or after a thrilling Tanzanian wildlife safari.

Just eight rooms facing the Indian Ocean are decorated in minimalist style with white walls and muted colors, each featuring a contemporary African design. All of the suites are particularly spacious with luxury king-size beds, air conditioning and a living area. Floor to ceiling French doors open onto private verandahs, capturing even the slightest of sea breezes. One of Africa’s most renowned and instantly recognisable safari lodges, the iconic Ngorongoro Crater Lodge occupies a stunning location looking down from the rim to the crater floor. Traditionally styled and wonderfully run, this is a truly wonderful option offering the ultimate Ngorongoro experience. The lodge is split into three intimate camps, with two boasting 12 suites and the other hosting 6 suites; this means that the entire lodge can host a maximum of 60 guests.
